Welcome back! In the first part of the sustainability journey of our coworking space zentroom, we have already shed light on our motivation behind our sustainability strategy. Now we would like to take the next step and explain how we want to proceed in concrete terms and what our vision looks like.
For us and our coworking space, sustainability is a fundamental principle that permeates our daily actions and our entire corporate ethos. Our core value of respect is at the heart of this. This respect not only applies to our fellow human beings, but also extends to the materials we use and the environment in which we live. By treating resources and people with care, we strive for long-term relationships - be it with our guests, our coworking community, suppliers, partners or our planet. Our goal is to minimize and ideally even eliminate our ecological footprint.
The journey is the destination
Während wir unsere Unternehmens-Vision ausgearbeitet haben, wurde uns klar, dass wir bewusst auf den Einsatz von Labels verzichten möchten. Für uns ist Nachhaltigkeit kein Status, den wir einmal erreichen und dann beiseitelegen können. Es ist ein kontinuierlicher Prozess des Wachsens und Lernens. Wir glauben an “progress, not perfection” – an die Idee, dass jeder Schritt in die richtige Richtung zählt, unabhängig davon, wie klein oder gross er ist.
We are aware that the topic of sustainability is complex and that we cannot solve everything at once - even for a small coworking space. That's why we start with small steps and work our way forward from there. As the topic is a matter close to our hearts, we see it as our duty and want to be accountable to ourselves first and foremost. But we don't want to hide - on the contrary; we want to inspire others and create momentum. Even if we don't actively communicate our sustainability efforts to the outside world.
Giving and receiving impulses
Ein wichtiger Bestandteil unserer Vision sind “Impulse”. Diese können von uns selbst, unserer Community oder Partnern stammen und reichen von kleinen, alltäglichen Massnahmen bis hin zu grösseren Projekten rund um den Coworking Space. Durch die Dokumentation und Erklärung dieser Impulse wollen wir nicht nur unsere eigenen Fortschritte transparent machen, sondern auch anderen Einblicke in unseren Weg zur Nachhaltigkeit geben und anderen die Möglichkeit geben, von unseren Erfahrungen zu lernen und sich inspirieren zu lassen.
